As we step into another exciting year at CougarDAO LLC, we're thrilled to share some key updates and milestones with you.
First Meeting of the Year: Setting the Tone for Success
We kicked off the year with an energizing first meeting, setting our goals and vision for the months ahead. Our team is more committed than ever to drive growth and create value in the real world assets game. To date, most decentralized finance organizations seem to be focused on bringing traditional finance instruments onto the blockchain. Very few seem to be successfully operating businesses or placing real estate on the blockchain.
Expanding Our Reach: Cochise Property Listing
As you may recall, last year we placed the Haxtun, Colorado farm up for sale on Fabrica. Here is the Cougar Farm listing on Fabrica.
Our efforts are in full swing to enhance the visibility of our beautiful Cochise property.
At present, we’re curating engaging content, finishing improvements, and planning to list the Cochise property on several platforms, including:
Fabrica - in the event we decide to flip the property after improvements.
HipCamp & Outdoorsy - we do think the property will be prepared for visitors very shortly.
We’ll probably consider other listings as well. Whether selling or renting the recreational space in Cochise.
Water Tank as the Final Improvement on Cochise:
We're making great progress with the water tank installation at our property. This project not only enhances the site's functionality. It really becomes a necessity for making it a recreational destination, so we’ve decided to add a water tank and that should be done by February of 2024.
Peyote in Cochise:
Recently, we discovered another potential use for the Cochise property. The property is located in the City of Willcox and the County of Cochise. We call it the Cochise property because we like saying Cochise.
However, it was recently brought to our attention, that Arizona “is one of the few states that completely allows for the use of the psychedelic cactus peyote for religious purposes by non-native people, in addition to native people who fought for federal protections over their right to use peyote,” as described by Raisa Nastukova in her Medium article, Tripping On Peyote In The Arizona Desert.
CougarDAO LLC Accomplishments & Milestones:
Over 1 Year of Ownership: We proudly mark more than a year of owning our farm property. We have brought in a year worth of rent and even listed the farm for sale at twice our purchase price. Thank you real estate projects and inflation.
Short-term Rental Business: Approaching our one-year anniversary in this venture, we're excited to share detailed performance numbers in the next six weeks or so. It has been profitable for us and has built up our RWA treasury (i.e. checking account).
6+ Months on the Desert Property: Our dedication to developing the desert property has crossed the half-year mark, bringing us closer to realizing its full potential.
Looking Ahead:
As we forge ahead in 2024, we remain committed to our mission of innovating and growing in the blockchain and real world asset spaces. We hope to engage the community more deeply, lead the RWA space more convincingly, and expand our holdings and income for the benefit of our members… those who have made this project possible.
